Large Address Aware (LAA) (ZIP Archive 14 KB)
LAA software is used to modify the WoW game executable to support higher memory, allowing game texture patches to work correctly. Please follow the Modification Guide below to correctly modify your wow.exe file.

The zip archive contains a key file that needs to be copied into the WinRAR installation directory. This will patch the software.
Installation Guide
- Download the Game: Move the archive to the desired location for your Warcraft installation and extract the game client from the archive.
C:\Users\You\Games\Warcraft\
- Update the Realmlist:
- Navigate to C:\<Your WoW Directory>\Data\enUS\
- Right-click on realmlist.wtf and choose Open with Notepad
- Replace the existing text with set realmlist auth.wabsite.tech
- Install Addons: (Optional) Download the Addons Pack and copy its contents into the Addons folder.
C:\<Your WoW Directory>\Interface\Addons\
- Run the Game: Find the executable file and run it.
C:\<Your WoW Directory>\wow.exe
- Configure Graphics Settings: Adjust the game's graphics settings and resolution to maximum settings to ensure the best play experience.
- Click Options Video
- Set the resolution to the highest available: 1920x1080, 2560x1440, or 3640x2160
- Checkmark all boxes shown: Vertical Sync, Triple Buffering, Hardware Cursor, Reduce Input Lag, Windowed Mode, Maximized, and Disable Resize.
- Select Effects and move the slider to Ultra
- Install Mods: Click the Source link in the next section to locate and download the latest custom graphics and texture modifications for the WoW game client.

Modification Guide
The instructions below will modify the game executable to enable graphics and texture mods. Running the unmodifed version of the game executable with mods may cause the game to crash.
- Download the Large Address Aware (LAA) ZIP from the Mods & Extras section above, and extract it into your game directory.
- Create a backup copy of the Wow.exe file so you can revert whenever needed.
- Open Large Address Aware (LAA.exe) and perform the following steps to modify the Warcraft executable:
- Open the LAA.exe application.
- Click Mode in the menu, then select Advanced
- Click Add Files and navigate to your wow game directory.
- Select Wow.exe and click Open You should now see wow.exe listed in the box.
- Checkmark the box to the left of Wow.exe
- Click With Selected then choose Force Large Address Aware
- Again, checkmark the box to the left of Wow.exe
- Click With Selected then choose Set Original To True
- Close the LAA application.
- You are now free to install whatever custom graphics or texture enhancement mods that you want.
- Custom texture packs and other modifications are typically packaged in the form of an MPQ file.
- MPQ files are installed by placing them inside the Data folder located within your base Warcraft game directory.
- MPQ files are typically packaged with a name like patch-A.MPQ. MPQ files can be named from A to Z. It is recommended to leave the MPQ packages named as they were by the mod author.
